Learn about the amazing versatility of tree bark and weavable plant fibres on this half day course and weave yourself a beautiful functional tool sheath, this could be for a knife, bowl hook, scissors, bodkin or secateurs.

What I love about these materials is that often I use the unwanted leaves and other peoples rubbish and materials that can be foraged usually for free by anyone.

We will also learn how to process foraged fibres into broom bristles and then weave a couple of brushes all out of natural materials, then learn how to create cordage to attach to the broom.

On this course we will delve into the abundance of materials that can be used for weaving that grow all around us and learn how to gather, process and prepare them, such as grasses, nettles, tree bark, bramble, iris leaves, dandelion stems and so many more!
